When I first joined Tumblr about a year and a half ago, I noticed that a lot of people enjoyed seeing kiss pictures on their Dashboard. I thought it’d be cool to essentially have a huge archive of cute kiss pictures, so I made KISSEZ.

Sure, I’ll enable text submissions now. I’m interested to see where this goes. =)

This is yet another instance where I have a very difficult time finding pictures to post. If I had my way, I would post beautiful, high resolution, candid kiss pictures of people of every shape, size, color, and sexual preference on KISSEZ. However, the majority of photos that I come across are young skinny white straight couples.

You’re more likely to find a more diverse variety of couples on KISSEZ-SUBMISSIONS because I post everything that is submitted (with very few exceptions), but I’m really picky about the quality and feel of the pictures I post on KISSEZ.

I’ll say it again: If you find any pictures that you’d like to see up here, feel free to submit them. Just be sure to include a source link if it’s not your own.

Thanks so much! I would love to feature photos of more ethnically diverse couples, but I have an incredibly difficult time finding pictures that aren’t either cheesy stock photography or crappy camera phone-quality snapshots. If you know of any pictures that you think would fit with the style of pictures I post on KISSEZ, please let me know!

Believe me, I would love to post more interracial kisses. But I honestly have an incredibly hard time finding pictures of kissing couples who aren’t white. If you (or anyone reading this) know of a place where I can find more ethnically diverse kiss pictures, please submit them. I will try to search more diligently when I get some free time. =)

Haha yeah it makes sense. All submissions are directed to KISSEZ-SUBMISSIONS, but I think I’m going to post yours to KISSEZ.

Although I couldn’t find many statistics on this particular subject, I found a site that claims that the average age for a first kiss in America is 13.5 years old. The average age for a first “tongue kiss” comes between one and three years later. (source)

In reality, people get their first kiss at all different ages. I have friends who are 19 and 20 (completely normal, beautiful girls) who still have not been kissed. On the other end of the spectrum, I have friends who had their first kiss in elementary school. There is no “right age” to experience your first kiss. It will happen when it’s supposed to happen, and you should definitely not rush it.

To those of you out there who have not had your first kiss, just remember this quote from Grey’s Anatomy. Don’t feel discouraged or undesirable - one day you’ll find someone who will want to kiss you until your lips hurt. Trust me.

Not all of the pictures posted are of heterosexual couples, but they definitely make up the majority. I’m planning on posting more pictures of gay couples on KISSEZ soon.
